I must say that personally, I quite like Peter as a person, although I strongly believe that he is in a line of work he dislikes and he should get out of it for his client's sake and his own. I hope he finds work that inspires him to respect himself and his clients.

My sister and I had hired Peter Anjos as a solicitor to settle my father's estate. And what a big mistake it was.

I had to threaten him with reporting him to the Law Society of NSW twice just to get him to tell me where we stood and no, I am not somebody who would pester him with constant questions. It took him almost 18 months to finally get things sort of finished and when he did, he paid part of my slice of estate to my sister against my explicit directions not to do so!

He also did not finish the job, because apparently some of it we were supposed to do ourselves, even though when we visited him at the beginning he told us clearly that he would do it. Later he changed his mind, but "forgot" to tell us as he was probably really busy in court. It only came out because I asked what happened to that money (repeatedly, with a threat of Law Society). I sincerely believe that if I would not get really upset with Peter and put my foot down we could easily drag this thing down for another 10 years (or indefinitely).

He would repeatedly not answer our emails and calls stating (once we got hold of him) that he "was busy with court" as if I was supposed to be impressed that he had to go to court and not take care of his existing clients.

He might be really good at court, I have had no experience with that, but if you are thinking of hiring Peter Anjos for estate settlement, please choose somebody else.

The matter is still not resolved, so this time without any threats, I am composting my complaint to the Law Society of NSW.
